NBSportCards operates nbsportcards.com from Tampa, Florida. This policy describes what information the site collects and what is done with it.
Information collected
The only information this site asks for is what a visitor types into the contact form: name, email address, the reason for contacting us, the card being asked about if applicable, and the message itself. If a visitor arrives from a card page, the message is pre-filled with the name of that card.
If you begin a consignment, the separate NBSportCards Consignment Agreement collects the information needed to identify you, identify your cards, and pay you. That form is hosted by a third-party form provider and is not part of this website.
The site does not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics profiling. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the visitor's IP address as part of serving that request. Web hosting providers keep standard server logs.
How it is used
Contact information is used to answer the inquiry and, where a sale or consignment follows, to complete the transaction, ship the item, and pay the consignor. It is not sold, rented, or traded. It is not added to a marketing list unless the visitor asks to be added.
Consignment information
Consignor identity, consignment agreements, and consignment records are treated as confidential business records. They are not published on this website. A consigned card appears in the public listings as part of NBSportCards inventory, without identifying the consignor, unless the consignor specifically authorizes otherwise.
Consignment records may be shared with a payment provider, a shipping carrier, an accountant or tax preparer, or where disclosure is required by law or by a marketplace resolving a dispute.
What is never published here
Customer and consignor addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, payment information, consignment records, and internal card acquisition information are not placed on the public website or in its source code.
Third parties this site relies on
The following services may receive information in the ordinary course of running the business. This list is kept current as integrations change:
- Web hosting — serves this site and keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used here and receives the visitor's IP address as part of that request.
- Email — messages sent through the contact form or by email arrive in an ordinary email account.
- Jotform — hosts the NBSportCards Consignment Agreement, including electronic signature.
- eBay — listings, purchases, buyer messaging, and payment handling on that marketplace are governed by eBay's own policies.
- Whatnot — live sales on that platform are governed by Whatnot's own policies.
- Instagram and other social platforms — cards promoted there are subject to those platforms' own policies.
Analytics and SMS messaging are not currently in use on this site. If either is added, this section will be updated before it goes live.
Purchases made elsewhere
Purchases made through the eBay store or a live sale on Whatnot are governed by that platform's own privacy policy and payment handling. NBSportCards never sees or stores full payment card numbers.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and the contact form uses spam protection. Contact and consignment records are kept using reasonable security practices. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and no guarantee of security is made.
Retention
Inquiry emails, order records, and consignment records are kept as long as needed to service the transaction, handle returns or disputes, satisfy the terms of a Consignment Agreement, and meet tax recordkeeping obligations. Request deletion of an inquiry at any time using the contact details below.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version is posted here with a new date.
